Years ago I used to do trail rides for a neighboring barn. Some riders would have so much fun after their ride that they would decide to buy a horse and the next week I would see them with their new horse. One young girl I observed as I was waiting for the next trail ride group to arrive was standing near the hindquarters of her horse as her horse's ears were flat back, nostrils tight and tail swishing irritably. Approaching, I began to ask about her new horse and draw her to her new friend's head. Our conversation traveled through to reading the body language of the horse. As her parents saw the value of the information, they asked if I would give lessons to their daughter so she would be safe. Knowing that I could not be with this child whenever she was with her horse, I began to search the internet for some information I could pass on to this family, some system they could follow and I could assist them with.
When I found the Parelli Natural Horsemanship method, I knew this was the answer. A learn at home program, it was tailor made for this situation. The more I learned the more I was convinced that this was the answer for all horsemen whether beginner or professional.
It is my goal to inspire, educate, and empower students and horse owners through natural horsemanship to achieve their goals and make the world a better place for horses and humans.
