Coming from the world of barrel racing, I thought horses were the tool to take me to the winners circle.  I loved horses, enjoyed being around them, but didn't really realize how little I knew until I came upon Parelli Natural Horsemanship.  Since being introduced to the Parelli Program in 2003, I have been amazed at the changes in  my own personal horsemanship journey. Every time I put my hands on a horse, I embrace the importance of how the relationship comes before everything else with my horses. Putting the relationship first has not only brought me to a whole new level of awareness, but it has brought back the fun and enjoyment I knew with horses as a kid.

From my very first clinic participation, I was totally in awe with what I saw and learned. It was then I decided that someday I wanted to become an instructor. Having a degree in Vocational Agriculture, and having spent ten years in corporate sales and training, I knew I enjoyed people, teaching, and problem solving. What I didn't know, was how to pursue this dream. So, I just started going to clinics, as well as spending time in Colorado and Florida to further my studies. Participating in the Kansas City Tour Stop and performing a Spotlight with my horse, Lizzy, was the event that opened the pathway to my dream.  It was there that Pat encouraged me to apply to the upcoming instructor course.  Like he said, "seize the opportunity" when it is presented!  So, I seized and I haven't looked back!

It is my goal as an instructor to share my knowledge in a way that will help others progress in their personal horsemanship journey.  I've had great support from family, friends, and Parelli mentors.  I hope to take all the support, encouragement, knowledge and skills that I have received and "play it forward!"

If you are interested in hosting a Parelli Workshop, please contact me to chat about the options. I also conduct workshops and give private and group lessons at my barn and arena, called the C4 Ranch, in Hampton. Our facilities include a 12 stall barn, 60 x 120 indoor arena, 80 x 150 outdoor arena, pasture playground and several pasture pens. A bunkhouse (shower room and 2 bathrooms), fully equipped kitchen, and a lounge area with a big screen tv makes our place an all-inclusive "veducation" destination....that's a vacation combined with education!

Savvy trails to all!
